Day 1

I just realized I now have 3 blogs. Two are personal and one is professional. My first family blog I'm trying to keep family and fashion related. Here is where I will discuss my journey to becoming a better me. 

I was going to keep it strictly about myweight loss  journey but it's much more than that. This past "off season" from weddings and crazy busy life I've learned a few things about myself. One I wasn't a very happy positive person. Two , I projected that and compared myself to others a lot ( and started noticing this in my children ). Three, I am morbidly obese   And can't believe I let myself get this big. Four , the bigger I get the funnier I get must be my defence mechanisms kicking in. Five, I need to learn how to be a better person. Role model for my kids. And practice what I preach. 

Obviously I can't make a bunch of changes over night. I've decided to set a few goals and track them via this blog.

Goal 1 - lose weight - drop high blood pressure. Today I went for my info session because I have been referred for gastric bypass.  It's a bit scary and I've been given a lot of info to digest. Within this one goal i will have several mini goals to Complete ( Meal plan. No pop. No caffeine. Baby steps people)

Goal 2. - be more active. And be more active with my kids. Mimi and I have started a weekly couch to 5 k walk/jog. To make it more fun I've started to take selfies of us. Small goal- park twice a week with kids. No cell phone! Eek:s


Goal 3. Be intentional. Be grateful. Spend family time

Getting us all gratitude journals 
Family game nights are back on Sundays. 
Spend time with kids no electronics. 

Well there you have it. I'll report back in a week and see how we made out.
